ARCHEOLOGY DAY Kampsville, IL		Saturday, July 12, 2008 10 am - 4 pm Center for American Archeology, Route 100 Activities include tours of a 2000 year old excavation site, artifact identification, flintknapping demonstration, Kids’ Activity Area, special exhibits at the Visitors’ Center & Museum and much more. This event is in part supported by a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council, the Illinois General Assembly, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Despite the weather there are still plenty of birds out there, Join professional birder Johanna Shipley for a slow paced mile walk to see how many birds you can identify, Afterwards there will be coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies.
