Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, Interpretive Center, Collinsville Road
The photographs entered for the North American Indian Photography Contest will be displayed. The contest, sponsored by the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site and Cahokia Mounds Museum Society, is open to both amateurs and professionals and seeks photographs that transcend simple snapshots and evoke the spirit of the North American Indian: people, character, events, objects, symbols, environment, past or present culture, and soul.

Come join us Veteran's Day weekend for the annual Edwardsville Band Booster Craft Fair! While you're here, plan to do some Christmas shopping. There are over 250 booths featuring quality handcrafted items, handcrafted gifts, and specialty items to choose. Visit the bake sale that’s full of homemade goods for a quick snack or a take home treat. A full lunch is also available. There are great door prizes and free parking. No strollers please.

The last of a number of formal debates of the Illinois senatorial election of 1858 between Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln took place in Alton. Dr. John M. Glen, formerly on the faculty of Principia College and presently Professor of History at St. Louis Community College at Wildwood will speak on this Alton debate. Glen has written and lectured extensively on Lincoln and the Civil War. Parking is available and refreshments will be served.

“Four by 13”: Thirteen Squared is a group of 13 award-winning women artists whose mission is to generate funds for the benefit of local arts organizations. The collaborative has been together for six years creating original theme art exhibits at different venues. This year the Jacoby Arts Center has been chosen by the collective and 100% of sales from the Four by 13 exhibit benefits the gallery at the Jacoby Arts Center. Participating Artists are Cynthia Berg, Elizabeth Concannon, Susan Dietz-Schmidt, M.J. Goerke, Jane Isenberg, Ellen Klamon, Ruth Kolker, Nancy Kurten, Emily Long, Marceline Saphian, Ida Steinberg, Harriet Thomas and Kay Wood. The Holiday Art Show!: Featuring functional artwork and artisan wares.
