Lodging
Pere Marquette State Park

The Pere Marquette Lodge and Conference Center was originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps and has been expanded and updated in recent years. Today, native stone and rustic timbers of the original Lodge blend with the new to provide first class accommodations in an historical setting. The mammoth stone fireplace in the Great Room soars to a roof height of 50 feet, and is said to weigh 700 tons. The Great Room also includes a life-sized chessboard and from the ceiling hangs the ‘Four Rivers’ Fabric Art created by M. Joan Lintault.

The Great Room

The Lodge offers 50 spacious guest rooms and 22 stone guest cabin rooms. Facilities at the Lodge include a cocktail lounge, gift shop, indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, saunas, game room and tennis court. Most rooms have 2 queen sized beds. The Cabin rooms are located approximately 150 feet from the main Lodge and Guests must walk over to use the Lodge’s services - there are no covered walkways. The cabins have a more rustic decor than rooms at the main lodge. All rooms have a table, chairs, dresser, television and private bath. None of the rooms are equipped with whirlpool, fireplace, refrigerator or any type of cooking facility.

For its guests the lodge's indoor recreation area includes an indoor swimming pool, exercise room, whirlpool and saunas. Many areas of the lodge are handicap accessible, with the swimming pool equipped with a special lift for pool access. An outdoor tennis court is nearby. A new wine tasting room featuring the Mary Michelle and Illinois Cellars labels has been recently opened.
