in the Meeting of the Great Rivers Scenic Byway Area


Alton
Located in a protected cove just north of the Clark Bridge at 1 Henry Street, this modern marina that opened in 1996, contains 180 slips, a boat store, deli, public restrooms, showers, fueling facilities and full mechanical facilities.

Grafton
Located at Market Street and the Illinois River, Grafton boasts a large public boat launch with two ramps and plenty of parking for cars and trailers. This area includes two docks that are positioned low toward the river for kayaks and canoes.

Hardin
Located 1/2 mile south of the Joe Page Bridge, this public boat launch has two ramps and a dock.


Kampsville
Public boat launching area just south of the Kampsville Free Ferry.

Boat Launches Maintained by the IDNR
The IDNR maintains a number of wildlife management areas that include primitive boat ramps.
