and each year the annual Applefest is Clarksville’s biggest
event. Among the attractions are Saturday’s parade, a juried
craft show, quilt show, and refreshments. An art show and a

EAGLE DAYS

The World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis and the Missouri Department
of Conservation will present live eagle
programs every hour at the Apple Shed at the south edge of town.
Spotting scopes, naturalists, and bonfires for warmth will be available at
Riverfront Park. Come early to watch the birds feed in the
Mississippi River.

cooks from all over the country to the banks of the Mississippi
River in Clarksville to compete for the opportunity to cook in the
World Cookoff in Reno Nevada. Samples of chili's are served to the
public throughout the day. Drawings for door prizes, music, food
and beverages.
$3 at the gate, tickets will be sold to sample chili, beverages
and food.
