LEWIS & CLARK
HERITAGE DAYS
St. Charles, MO

Frontier Park
Historic St. Charles Downtown District
This annual festival features an authentic reenactment of Lewis & Clark's encampment in 1804 prior to their journey up the Missouri River. Also featured are reenactor encampments, Fife and Drum Corps demonstrations, boat replicas, museum tours, and 19th century crafts.

FLEUR-DE-LIS FESTIVAL

TOUR OF THE
LITTLE HILLS

Become a modern day explorer and climb the “little hills” of St. Charles. This urban ride has routes of various distances along flat to rolling terrain that is moderately hilly with a few big hills and is recommended for experienced cyclists. After the ride explore the fine arts gallery that hosts juried exhibitions and features 20 working artists’ studios.

MO FESTIVAL

Approximately 125 artists from across the country are selected to come to St. Charles to exhibit and sell their works. Mediums represented include painting, sculpture, jewelry, and many other fine arts. Other activities include A Mentor Me program, an Art for Youth gallery, and a Kids Creation Station. Food and other refreshments are available throughout the festival grounds.

BICYCLE RIDE

1 MILE FUN RUN

Frontier Park

The FACT 5K Run, Walk, Roll and 1 mile Fun Run will take place along the riverfront starting at the Jaycees Pavilion in Frontier Park, going down the Katy Trail and back along Main Street to the park. An awards ceremony will be held at 9 am and refreshments and face painting for kids will be available. Proceeds benefit Family Advocacy and Community Training, which helps provide resources for children with disabilities.

St. Charles celebrates the holidays with festivities that include caroling, chestnut roasting, authentically costumed Santas from around the world, and a Santa Parade each weekend. Visitors will find candlelight shopping and dining Wednesday and Friday evenings as the shops and restaurants on South Main Street stay open until 9pm.

CANDLELIGHT TOURS

UTour Missouri's first state Capitol as it would have been in the 1820s. Guides will lead you through each room, lit only by candles, and visitors will learn its history from period dressed interpreters. Enjoy traditional 19th century refreshments while listening to Christmas carols at the end of the tour.

Fete de Glace (The Festival of Ice) is an outdoor ice-carving competition where skilled carvers from around the region turn blocks of ice into amazing creations while spectators watch the ice chips fly. Coffee, hot chocolate, and fire pits are available to keep everybody warm.

Tartan Days celebrates the Scottish heritage and culture in the region. Activities include a reception and crowning of Miss Tartan Day on Friday, a parade beginning at Noon on Saturday, a Tartan Music Fest at 7 pm, and “Kirkin of the Tartan” ceremony on Sunday morning.
