Several galleries in Ste. Genevieve are offering the opportunity to view the art works of Ste. Genevieve area and regional artists with a variety of art forms that will offer something for everyone. Other retail businesses will also participate in the event by being open during the same hours. Refreshments will be served at various locations and maps are available at each location designating which galleries and studios are open.

PLEIN AIR EVENT

Following the European tradition of capturing the atmosphere of the outdoors, artists are invited to join the realms of the famous regionalist artists of the 1930's by painting outdoors in scenic Ste. Genevieve with an opportunity to display and sell their work on the streets of Ste. Genevieve Saturday and Sunday, October 10th & 11th during the Autumn Daze Art / Artisan / Fine Craft event. Two pieces of work produced during the week will be juried on Saturday with monetary prizes being awarded at Noon.

TIGERS' BIRTHDAY BASH

Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary, 19620 State Route B
It’s time to celebrate the sanctuary’s tigers’ birthdays! Activities at this fall festival include a silent auction, tons of kid games and prizes, enrichment activities and tosses to the tigers, free hamburgers & hotdogs, wine & beer tastings, birthday cake, tiger cake, face painting, and much more. The Wild Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis will be presenting a bird show and Hudson and the Hoo Doo Cats will be providing live entertainment. Proceeds are used to care for the tigers who were all rescued from unfortunate circumstances.

RURAL HERITAGE DAY

This event is a day of history, reverie and reminiscence dedicated to the hard working forefathers and foremothers of Ste. Genevieve. Come see how it used to be done, whether its farming, cooking, spinning, lace making, leather working, soap making, wood carving, gardening, or good old-fashioned games. Watch demonstrations of handicrafts of yesteryear. Try the Lions Club’s vittles or bring a picnic. Stay the day and have a blast from the past!

CHRISTMAS WALK

Kick-off the Christmas season by welcoming Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, listening to Christmas carolers, lighting the city's Christmas tree, late shopping, and enjoying a live nativity scene. The parade on Saturday starts at 11 am.

The Ste. Genevieve Art Guild sponsors this art show featuring area artists showing and selling their work. Cookies and Spiced Apple Cider are served throughout the weekend. A painting is raffled each year and there is a silent auction with the proceeds used to fund an art scholarship for a graduating senior. A Meet the Artists Reception will be held on Saturday evening, December 1st from 6 pm to 8 pm

FRENCH CHRISTMAS

This annual celebration highlights the music, customs, and decorations of an early French Colonial Christmas celebration known as "Le Reveillon." Costumed guides will explain the early 1800's customs and the dining room will be filled with traditional foods. Refreshments and period music will be provided.

Throughout the weekend there will also be a Plant Sale by the Master Gardeners, an Herb and Plant Sale at the Bolduc House Museum, a Farmer's Market on Saturday morning, and a raffle drawing. A walking tour of the historic district will be conducted at 1:30 pm each day.

This French Heritage Festival celebrates the 300 years of French culture in America from Quebec to New Orleans and recognizes the greatest concentration of French Colonial architecture in North America that exists in Ste. Genevieve. There will be music, dance, French cuisine and other refreshments, wine tasting, reenactments, promenades, lectures, and French Colonial architecture tours.

The Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary is thanking all of our supporters and donors over the years by invite everyone to a free day at the sanctuary. The new education classroom and observation deck will be open and there will be scheduled tours. The Sanctuary will be having a silent auction, selling pictures, tiger prints, and various other items. This is a great day to bring the whole family for a day of fun and activities with games and crafts for all age levels.

Held annually in the middle of August, this French cultural heritage event features and Arts & Crafts Show with nearly 200 booths of artists and colonial crafters. Special features include historical house tours, colonial crafts, antiques window displays, birds of prey, antique farm equipment exhibit, and a Classic Cruisers Car Show. The will be food, drink and entertainment both days.
Admission and parking free
Shuttle bus service, $2, leaves every 15 minutes from parking area at the industrial park, US 61 and M Road.

The annual Classic Cruisers Car Show features thirty-five classes with three awards per class. Food, beer, soda and dinner available by the Knights of Columbus. Registration from 8 am to 11:30 am, judging from 12 pm to 3 pm and awards presentation at 3:30 pm.
