Experience Ste. Genevieve on tours of its gardens. Throughout the weekend there will also be a Plant Sale by the Master Gardeners, an Herb and Plant Sale at the Bolduc House Museum, a Farmer's Market on Saturday morning, and a raffle drawing. A walking tour of the historic district will be conducted at 1:30 pm each day.

FRENCH FESTIVAL

This French Heritage Festival celebrates the 300 years of French culture in America from Quebec to New Orleans and recognizes the greatest concentration of French Colonial architecture in North America that exists in Ste. Genevieve. There will be music, dance, French cuisine and other refreshments, wine tasting, reenactments, promenades, lectures, and French Colonial architecture tours.

The Ste. Genevieve County Fair includes a parade, livestock shows, demolition derby, horse show, truck pulls, tractor pulls, queen contest, 4H and FFA exhibits and a band on Friday night. There is a lot to see and do for adults and children all weekend with plenty of good food and entertainment.

The Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary is thanking all of our supporters and donors over the years by invite everyone to a free day at the sanctuary. The new education classroom and observation deck will be open and there will be scheduled tours. The Sanctuary will be having a silent auction, selling pictures, tiger prints, and various other items. This is a great day to bring the whole family for a day of fun and activities with games and crafts for all age levels.

JOUR DE FETE

Held annually in the middle of August, this French cultural heritage event features and Arts & Crafts Show with nearly 200 booths of artists and colonial crafters. Special features include historical house tours, colonial crafts, antiques window displays, birds of prey, and antique farm equipment exhibit. The will be food, drink and entertainment both days.
Admission and parking free
Shuttle bus service, $3 for adults and $1 for children 3 to 10, leaves every 15 minutes from parking area at the industrial park, US 61 and M Road.

This global event, being held to raise awareness for tiger conservation, is celebrated around the world on the last weekend in September. Join the staff at Crown Ridge for a day to celebrate and help raise awareness of the plight of the tiger in the wild. This event features a day of family fun with the tigers creating crafts, playing games, visiting various vendor booths, taking tiger tours, and snacking on food.
$5 for everyone; FREE if you bring items needed by the sanctuary.

Watch demonstrations of handicrafts of yesteryear. Try the Lions Club’s vittles or bring a picnic. Stay the day and have a blast from the past!

PLEIN AIR EVENT

Following the European tradition of capturing the atmosphere of the outdoors, artists are invited to join the realms of the famous regionalist artists of the 1930's by painting outdoors in scenic Ste. Genevieve with an opportunity to display and sell their work on the streets of Ste. Genevieve Saturday and Sunday, October 10th & 11th during the Autumn Daze Art / Artisan / Fine Craft event. Two pieces of work produced during the week will be juried on Saturday with monetary prizes being awarded at Noon.

Memorial Cemetery at Fifth and Merchant Streets

Experience more than twenty of Ste. Genevieve's notable and notorious of spirits in Missouri's oldest cemetery, the restored 1787 Memorial Cemetery. Costumed spirits will present Ste. Genevieve's past through stories and tales of mystery and amusement. This living history program of stories, traditions and nostalgia highlights the lives and personalities of notables such as U.S. Senator Lewis F. Linn, Felix and Odile Vallé, Marie LaPorte, Joseph Bogy, Ferdinand Rozier (local business partner of John James Audubon) and Col. St. Gemme. All proceeds benefit the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve's Memorial Cemetery Restoration project.

$5 tickets Children ages 6-18 are $2.50, and children under 5 are free.

Ste. Genevieve's Historic District
The old tradition of La Guiannée still survives in Sainte Genevieve. This ancient tradition, analogous to the English custom of Wassailing that harkens back to Europe's Middle Ages, is celebrated by descendants of those French settlers. Dressed in bizarre and somewhat archaic costumes, the revelers wander from place to place singing a beggars song for favors. You can see and participate with these singers and musicians as they celebrate this 250 year old tradition each New Year's Eve in the streets, cafes and pubs of old Ste. Genevieve's Historic District.

A painting is raffled each year and there is a silent auction with the proceeds used to fund an art scholarship for a graduating senior. A Meet the Artists Reception will be held on Saturday evening, December 1st from 6 pm to 8 pm
