ART EXHIBIT Belleville, IL		January 17 - March 8, 2008 Tuesday - Saturday: 11 am - 5 pm Thursday: 11 am - 8 pm Schmidt Art Center, Southwestern Illinois College Construction / Deconstruction: John Watson + Sandra Abrams with Architectural Drawings from the Labor & Industry Museum, Belleville: One of the things that make us human is our ability to use tools to construct shelter and to express ourselves. In this exhibit we invite viewers to complete the process by deconstructing art and architecture and create their own stories and meaning. FETE DU BON VIEUX TEMPS Cahokia, IL		PROBABLE EVENT - DETAILS TBA February, 2009 2 pm - 5 pm Colonial Cahokia State Historic Sites complex The "Festival of the Good Old Days," this colonial Mardi Gras celebration features music, historic tours, activities, and demonstrations at the Cahokia Courthouse, Jarrot Mansion, the Martin-Boismenue House, and the Holy Family Log Church. FRENCH & INDIAN WINTER ASSEMBLAGE Prairie du Rocher, IL		February 2 - February 3, 2008 9 am - 5 pm Fort De Chartres 4 miles west of Prairie du Rocher on IL-155 A winter gathering of French & Indian camping and competing in a team Woods Walk Musket competition. For more information call 618-284-7230
FELIX VALLÉ OPEN HOUSE Ste. Genevieve, MO		Sunday, February 10, 2008 12 pm - 4 pm Felix Vallé House This afternoon open house celebrates the birthday of  Felix Vallé, a prominent resident of early Ste. Genevieve.
