COLONIAL TRADE FAIRE & MUSKET FROLIC Prairie du Rocher, IL		April 5 - April 6, 2008 9 am - 5 pm Fort De Chartres 4 miles west of Prairie du Rocher on IL-155 This Juried Living History event depicts the Illinois Country during the period between 1750-1790. This event includes musket and rifle shooting matches, colonial games, and military demonstrations. For more information call 618-284-7230
SCHOOL OF THE SOLDIER Prairie du Rocher, IL		April 26 - April 27, 2008 Fort De Chartres 4 miles west of Prairie du Rocher on IL-155 This educational weekend event includes demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and lectures to help reenactors with their personae. ANNUAL SHEEP & CRAFT FESTIVAL Waterloo, IL		Saturday, April 12, 2008 Grounds open to public at 8 am Monroe County Fairgrounds   1/4 mile west of Waterloo on IL-156 This annual festival's activities include sheep shearing, spinning, weaving, and working sheep dog demonstrations. Also featured are agricultural exhibits and displays, antique tractors, clinics, and entertainment. A variety of food and drink including a lamb lunch are available from local organizations.
