The annual Fruehlingsfest Antique and Garden Show
takes place around the stone mill in the heart of this historic
town. Fruehlingsfest features quality antique dealers from the

herbs. A variety of food will be offered at Fruehlingsfest, and a
creek-side wine garden, served by Ravissant Winery, will also be
featured.

weekend there will also be a Plant Sale by the Master Gardeners, an
Herb and Plant Sale at the Bolduc House Museum, a Farmer's Market on
Saturday morning, and a raffle drawing.

walking tour of the historic district will be conducted at 1:30 pm
each day.

view the art works of Ste. Genevieve area and regional artists with

served at various locations and maps are available at each location
designating which galleries and studios are open. Held on the
third Friday during November because of the holidays.

Enjoy the splendor of the towering Mississippi River bluff lands and
hike along one of several trails at Valmeyer’s Salt Lick Point Land
and Water Reserve. Enjoy music, food, and demonstrations. Stroll
through a market of artwork and handcrafted items and shop for
native plants from Missouri Wildflowers Nursery. Come relax and
enjoy the views! This year’s event also features a BioBlitz where
visitors can watch scientists and naturalists scouting for species
throughout the reserve. The festival is hosted by the Illinois
Department of Natural Resources, the Illinois Nature Preserves
Commission, Clifftop and the Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve
Stewardship Committee.

BIRDING THE BOTTOMLANDS

Rockwood Levee and Fort Kaskaskia Historic Site
Birding the Bottomlands where beginners to knowledgeable birders of
all ages can some experience migratory songbirds in their most
vibrant colors. Ten locations on the Rockwood Levee will be staffed
for visitors to watch from 6 am -10 am with an after-party from 11
am - 2 pm at Fort Kaskaskia Historic Site. There will be free cake,
informational tables and a presentation of live birds of prey by
Free Again. Food will be available for purchase. The event is
presented by area state and city organizations and Audubon societies.
