This annual celebration takes place at the site of the Liberty Bell
of the West, which was rung when Rogers Clark and

de Chartres. The celebration also features live music, food and
other refreshments, and the Church of the
Immaculate Conception will be open for tours.

first weekend following Labor Day. This year's event will celebrate
the 75th anniversary of Popeye starting on Friday
afternoon and features plenty of food, music, dancing, sporting

a sizeable fireworks display is the finale on Sunday evening. The
event is centered around the downtown area of Chester, but
activities are held throughout the town.
