Sandy Creek Bridge State Historic Site

Located just south of St. Louis, Jefferson County is roughly bounded by its three largest rivers: the Mississippi River, the Meramec River, and the Big River. Jefferson County features the interesting village of Kimmswick with its annual Strawberry and Apple Butter festivals, Mastodon State Historic Site, and one of the last remaining covered bridges in Missouri at Sandy Creek Historical Site.
