Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair

Pere Marquette State Park
13112 Visitor Center Lane, Off IL-100 (the Great River Road)
Grafton, Illinois

Catching a real trout is the reason the "Trout Pond" is the most popular and exciting activity for children.

A 4,000-gallon aquarium is stocked with many of the local fish found in the Illinois River! These fish are caught just before the event and released back into the wild.

Held in celebration of National Fishing Week and co-sponsored by Pere Marquette State Park, Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge, and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Two Rivers Family Fishing Fair offers fun and information for the entire family. There is information for beginning and experienced anglers and lots of fun activities for the kids are just part of the festivities. Fair visitor goers will learn knot tying, fish identification, fish cleaning, casting, and many other skills.

There will be numerous seminars at the aquarium where experts will be speaking and taking questions. There will also be seminars on water safety, educational activities, a chance to make your own cane pole. There will be crazy games and awesome prizes. Concessions will be open to purchase food or refreshments.
