The main biking draw in Saint Charles County is the route along KATY Trail State Park that is a 225-mile recreation rail trail that runs from St. Charles near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers to Clinton, which is about 75 miles southeast of Kansas City. The stretch through Saint Charles County begins in Frontier Park in the Historic District of Saint Charles and winds its way near the banks of the Missouri River into Augusta’s Wine Country.
